Rev. Al Sharpton: "Chewy is a Racist"

Yesterday on his radio show, the Reverend Al Sharpton spoke out against candidate Jason “Chewy” Cohen. More specifically, Sharpton takes issue with the fact that Chewy and his supporters are referring to the candidate’s nationwide bus campaign as the “back of the bus” tour.
The phrase ‘back of the bus’ is recognizable in one and only one context here in this country!” raved an impassioned Sharpton, “The phrase connotates second class citizenship for African Americans of generations past. Futhermore, the fact that this man is throwing these words around as if they are some cute little campaign slogan proves to me that Chewy is ignorant!”

Later during his radio program, Sharpton joked that he believed Michael Richards and Don Imus would both vote for Chewy. He also quipped that Mel Gibson would probably refrain from voting for either candidate.
