Jerry Falwell: “Chewy Is Living In Sin!!”

This week, a sermon by the late Jerry Falwell has re-emerged which questions the moral values of candidate Jason “Chewy” Cohen. On April 4, 2007, Falwell made a speech about family values. During this sermon he focused on three celebrities, namely Michael Jackson, Alec Baldwin, and Jason “Chewy” Cohen, who he believed set a poor example for the rest of our nation.


Chewy has lived with an unmarried woman named Chris Princiata since early 2006. He has long claimed that Princiata is his ‘best friend’, although they are not romatically involved.

It is this living situation that seems to have upset Falwell, “What 32 year old man goes around calling someone his ‘best friend’?” quipped Falwell. “I think that Mr. Cohen and Ms. Princiata should go over to the local mall and have ‘Best Friend’ T-shirts made with both of their pictures on it.” Laughs from Falwell’s audience tranformed into gasps and ‘Amen’s’ upon his suggestion that these t-shirts should be made of a fire-retardant material, clearly implying that he believed Chewy and Princiata were going to hell.
